The Guyana Government?s objection to a recent US report on trafficking in persons has been taken to the international level, with Labour Minister Manzoor Nadir yesterday questioning the authenticity of the document at the 99th Session of the International Labour Organization, being held in Geneva, Switzerland.In his speech, Minister Nadir told the delegates that on Monday last, the United States released its 2010 Report on Trafficking in Persons and in his government?s opinion, the contents were totally unjustified.?In it (page 164) there is a comment that for the years 2005 to 2009, a project the US Government funded, in Guyana, removed 984 children from exploitive child labour.
