A group of top businesses in Guyana which banded together last year is helping to lead the fight against HIV/AIDS.The Guyana Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GBCHA), during its first ever Annual General Meeting on Thursday last, at its Orange Walk, Bourda office, announced that it will be exploring new ways in assisting the private sector in getting information to the most at-risk persons.Prominent banker, Amanda St Aubyn, who led the organisation since its founding on May 23,[url=http://www.basketballstore.us@#$%&/]NBA Store[/url], 2008, was also returned as Chairperson following elections.GBCHA comprises of 40-plus prominent businesses including Republic Bank, Scotiabank, Continental Group of Companies, Banks DIH, John Fernandes Limited, Kaieteur News and Neal and Massy Group, among others.The coalition was launched last year as an independent non-profit entity, continuing work upon the foundation laid by the first phase of the Guyana HIV/AIDS Reduction and Prevention Project (GHARP1).
