Mmmm... from the clips I heard, it sounds anything but spectacular. :-(
And what's going on with all these rock operas and several singers performing on an album??? They're rising like mushrooms!!!
Hey Nikolo, it seems like you started a fashion. Which might be either good or bad. :-))

Hi Endryus,

It's been some time.
Thanks for noticing - I have the same feeling. Actually after I started
with Brazen Abbot back in ' 94 a pile of similar projects appeared out there.

When I started with Nostradamus and announced it in ' 98 , there were not
many new rock/metal operas out there either !

Peace:
Nikolo

I'll be buying the Genius Rock Opera just for Daniel Gildenlow (Pain of Salvation)'s part as TwinSpirit3.2 or whatever...

Are there any other worthy rock operas, where lots of good vocalists preform on the same album, as characters?

I've heard of Avantasia, this new Genius Rock Opera, and obviously Nostradamus, and the whole Ayreon/Star One thing...

I'm a huge fan of Rock/metal operas...are there any more?Nikolo wrote:

Appearantly there's another rock opera in the works, got this from ten-online@#$%&:

"After talking the Gary Hughes Ten-Online can confirm the following concerning the King Arthur project.

Contrary to the popular belief, the project will be titled "Once and Future King". The project will be available in two parts which will be released with a speculative 3 months between them.

The artwork for both albums will be handled by world famous fantasy artist Chris Achilleos whose last venture into the music art arena was with Whitesnakes legendary "Lovehunter" album.

The artists who have been confirmed so far are:-

Gary Hughes (TEN) who will play Arthur
Bob Catley (Magnum) who will play Merlin
Doogie White (ex Rainbow, Cornerstone and current Yngwie Malmsteen vocalist) who is to play Mordred.
Sean Harris (Diamond Head) who will play Galahad.
Ten are to provide the musical backdrop for the epic with aditional guest musicians to be anounced."
