Mark Boals!

Hey Nikolo,
you should try and get Mark Boals to sing on your next album!
Not only can he sing in absolutely ever style and a limitless vocal range...he can also sing in a true operatic style.

Have you heard him sing Puccini's "Nessun Dorma" with a full orchestra and choir?

It's brilliant!!

regards,

azal

Thanks for the advice , Azal.
I will concider a large number of singers for the next Brazen Abbot album , which
by the way will not be a rock opera ;-) . I'm sure that I will make the right choices for the singers . However , I think I know already which ones they are.

best regards:
Nikolo

Hello, Nikolo,

I was just wondering, since I don't live in Sweden or Finland, I might have missed this basic question: Do you sing? Have you considered singing on the next album yourself? Who were the BA backings? When you wrote the songs, I imagine you already had a certain voice in your head? (So you knew whom to ask to sing.) How do you communicate such singing to the singer if you don't sing to them first (like a director?) Perhaps you just gave them lots of freedom to interpret your songs?

I hope you'll still ask Goran and Joe Lynn to sing on the next album. I love your music and their voices. ^_^ (More love songs, please!)

Hi , Denise

Yes , I do sing , but I am not good enough for the BA albums.....
When I work with the singers I sing ofcourse - that speeds things up.
Singers always get a great lattitude when they work here , cause I believe in
the singers's way of feeling songs.
I have occasionally done some backup vocals , nothing serious , though....
I will NEVER sing a song on my albums.

It is too early to discuss who will sing on the next BA album , but I tend to like keeping the same people on campus.....We will see. It also depends on the singers - some of my favourites might not be available etc. etc.....

Best regards:
Nikolo

Hi, Nikolo,

Thanks for the answer!! I also noticed that you let the singers write the lyrics? How does that work?

Both Coverdale and Dio are giants !!Absolutely among my most favorite singers.

They simply write the lyrics.Ofcourse , we discuss the main subject in detail.
Sometimes I have suggestions for the lyrics too. It all comes together in the
studio - there's no formula about it.

Hello, Nikolo, talvez reminds me that I already wrote you in Brazen Abbot page.
I believe that there is a series of singers that you/they would be good you for Brazen Abbot topics. I eat singer that I am, it would recommend you to people like Rob Rock (Impellitteri, Axel Rudi Pell) or Tony Martín (Black Sabbath). They have a very strong voice and I believe that appropriate for Brazen Abbot. Kelly Keeling, is another great singer that participated in the album tribute to Deep Purple 1994. He/she has a voice I believe that similar to that of Joe Lynn Turner. Me encantan también Jorn Lande, Doogie White o Gary Hughes.
Good, they are many the big singers that we are for the world. With all the respects I have wanted to give you a couple of ideas for some vocalists that would fit very well in Brazen Abbot music. I thank your time. Thank you very much.

Nikolo, what's your opinion about the swedish singer Benny Soderberg (Fortune, Clockwise). I love his voice, that it seems to you?.

Best Regards

He made a band with Ian Haugland and John Levén called Clockwise with two albums, the first album "Nostalgia" is very, very good. His voice is similar sometimes to Göran Edman. I recommend you.

Best Regards Nikolo
