Most of the main entrance is under water at the moment, with large pools at various spots. Litter is commonplace; the area is full of garbage including broken bottles. One of the pavilions is literally falling apart.  The changing rooms and toilet seats and floors are covered in thick sand.The beach stretches from Number 65 Village in the south to Number 54 Village in the north and is considered one of the longest stretches of natural beach in the Caribbean, being approximately 8.5 Km in length.
