Another new lawyer was yesterday admitted to the local bar. She was successful at the Secondary Schools Entrance Examination which gained her a place at Queen’s College.Sam attended the University of Guyana where she pursued a degree in law. She graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Law and moved on to the Hugh Wooding Law School where she graduated with her Legal Education Certificate in October.Justice Persaud said that Sam was entering the profession at a time when the system is saturated. He said that the system is under continuous scrutiny.He said that they were at a stage when they are fighting for their rightful place in the state.He added that the legal system was a good pathway for democracy. He said that lawyers must be humble and courteous.
