It's terrible
Some of you might agree with me, sometimes things go not with the way we want. Numerous letter writing, sending resumes, registering on various jobs sites, making phone calls, going to talk to the professionals who know more about the industry. No matter how hard you try it seems like 'nothing happens'. Going to the recent meeting about the training opportunities with the guaranteed job was a good exercise however the training usually costs thousands of pounds. Without the income one cannot pay for the training therefore it's catch 22 situation. Some of you did go through the difficulties i am faced with right now. Not only it's frustrating, I think it's terrible! When one is running out of positive thoughts one states how it is, and right now its terrible. I think the recruitment performance is terrible, some recruitment departments are frozen due to the cuts, many redundancies, too many rules imposed by the bosses, those who are wearing jackets! One tiny mistake and employees are heavily penalized by a non payments. People are prone to errors, this is why we have the technology to assist us with the automated robotic tasks. People are not robots so DON'T TRY TO TURN US INTO ROBOTS! The way human brain operates, the flexibility of human brain, is beyond the artificial intelligence. We are shaping, we are constructing the technologies to assist us not to replace us! I cannot emphasize enough, how annoying the self-checkouts can be. I would rather talk to the person than a robot. I often join the queue just to talk to another human being. Cannot talk to the machine, are you with me? Yes the technology can be efficient but then you come out of the supermarket saving ten minutes served by a robot and get stuck in the traffic for two hours. Regarding the job applications, I have submitted my CV, again using the website technologies but one get nowhere if the CV stuck in the bank of thousands of CV. When one speaks to people it's different because it's totally different level of interaction. Speaking to people is the best way of getting back to work. I have submitted hundreds of applications using "automated service" with the "automated response", it was "unsuccessful' or didn't meet their "basic guidelines". A lot of nonsense! No constructive professional feedback. The only decent feedback I got was from a college professional advising me I have to get certain certification, work experience, relevant references within the field in order to get into the field. It was clear but the training is not free. The only solution is to apply for the trainee positions in order to get training in order to work in the field of IT. Having degree is not good enough those days. How terrible, I have to persevere with the opportunities I have in order to strive for quality. Thinking helps, meeting professionals' helps, getting feedback from family, friends' helps. I am doing my best with the little I have. Negativity is everywehere, it's terrible.
